Our keynote speakers: Challenge, Inspire, Thrive with Paula Reid!

On Welcoming to Live Learning Paula Reid – Adventure Psychologist – The Adventurer and Psychologist.

In a world of rapid change, pressure and uncertainty, learning can no longer stay boxed in the classroom with a PowerPoint and a handout. It has to be lived, felt and applied.

That’s why we’re delighted to welcome Paula as a new associate to our pool of talented coaches, facilitators and keynote speakers.

Paula brings something rare, relevant and deeply needed right now: Adventure Psychology – an approach to helping people and organisations survive, cope and thrive during challenge and disruption.
What is Adventure Psychology?

Adventure Psychology sits at the intersection of positive and sport psychology, lived experiences, and human performance. It is grounded in real contexts, back up by scientific evidence, where endurance, decision-making and adaptability come together. It helps individuals and teams:

Navigate uncertainty and rapid change
Build psychological resilience and endurance
Perform sustainably under pressure
Strengthen confidence, clarity and agency
Maintain enduring physical and mental wellbeing while delivering results

A rare mix: Adventurer. Psychologist. Leader.

Paula Reid is a rare blend of three worlds that don’t often meet — but should.
As an adventurer, Paula has skied to the South Pole, raced yachts around the world and cycled across Ukraine. These experiences demanded endurance, adaptability, emotional regulation and performance at the edge.

As a psychologist, she holds a Master’s in Applied Positive Psychology and translates academia and experience into practical tools that people can use. As a business leader, Paula understands organisational realities: decision-making, flexibility, complexity and results.

Why this matters now

Organisations are managing with higher expectations, fewer certainties and more complexity. Paula’s work meets people where they are — in ambiguity, challenge and transition — and equips them with the mindset and behaviours needed to move forward. We’re proud to be working with her and excited about the impact her Adventure Psychology approach will have on leaders, teams and organisations navigating difficult times.

Paula is an expert in Adventure Psychology and has written 5 books and delivered two TEDx talks about it, but she is happy to flex with us and facilitate, or coach, or be one of our event team too – so look out for her!
